Facial Peel or Face Wash?

Dermalogica Kit for Acne Prone skin - not recommended.

Used the Face Wash last Sunday and my face swelled up and became red. Its now the Sunday after and I've just started peeling. Lovely...
It was more like a Facial Peel to be honest with all that Salisylic Acid in it.

Its gone straight in the bin.

New Buggy

How exciting can it be to buy a new baby buggy?
Apparently very! I am so pleased with it, our new Maclaren xlr buggy.

Its loooovely and little Jessie will be able to lie flat in it, which is perfect. Got a huge sunshade so additional sunshades/parasols etc will not be needed. The steering handles are extendable so even tall old me can walk straight!!!
Perfect for the holidays coming up!
Can't wait!

All wrapped up

I went to have a Universal Contour Wrap last Saturday. I didn't quite know what to expect, but it was part of my detox to try one. I was wrapped from head
to toe in bandages soaked in mud of some sort, that smelled really nice. Then the lady popped me in some kind of spaceman suit to keep me warm and I got to lie on a bed for AN HOUR reading magazines and listening to relaxing music. I don't know what I enjoyed the most, the wrap or the peace and quiet.

Afterwards my skin felt incredibly soft and still does 4 days after! She measured me before and after and all in all 6 inches had disappeared to god knows where.

I thought it was great going from a Busy Mummy to an actual Mummy!!!

Detox

Today I am heading to the shop to buy 22 apples, broccoli, cucumber and god knows what else. 5tarting my 3 day detox again after eating too much rubbish, and drinking too much. I feel tired and sluggish but hopefully by Friday I will be back on track. On Saturday morning I am having a Body Contour Wrap, which I am both dreading and looking forward too. Will report how it went after the event.

Love and Like

Love this series - Lipstick Jungle - its just the perfect girly night tv-series. And of course, its worth watching for the reason shown in the picture below:

And now I've started watching Cashmere Mafia (as L. J season 2 has finished) and was not impressed with the first episode, but its picking up and liking it too.
So if you fancy a girly night in, pour yourself some wine and light some candles, and lean your eyes on either of these series.

Old Phone - New Phone

Sony Ericsson W300i - been a great little phone, really nice, but now its started crackling like fireworks in my ears after having been dropped on the floor about 145 times.

So, kindly Orange has upgraded me to this beast below:

Aww, schweeep schwoooo, a Blackberry!
Hoping I will be able to text with that QWERTY keyboard, will take a while to get used to I reckon. But the best thing will be to watch our shares live on my mobile! Saaaaadddooooo!
FTSE - here I come!

Swedes

Meeting a Swedish mum tomorrow afternoon! Can't wait!
Hopefully my Swedish will be ok...

Heja Sverige!

My dress - in Paint??

You try drawing drop-pockets with a wiggly paintbrush. The black scribbles on the right are my bangles. And the leggings are slightly shiny. Plus the boots are a bit higher I think. Necklaces are black and pink. There, now you know.

Shopping -finally....

Sorry about the silence, have been super busy the last few weeks. Even days where there is nothing in my calendar, just fly by. Cooking, cleaning, playing, feeding, putting to bed, waking up, feeding dogs, shopping, tidying, GOD knows what.
But most days I try to get out with the children to get out of the boring housework.

Today, no children. Ellen in nursery and our babysitter took Jessie for the day while I went to the hairdressers to get some highlights done. Very pleased. If you swap Hayden's face for mine, you'll get an idea of what I look like. Plus my hair is ever so slightly darker than hers.

After that I headed to Lakeside and found myself a dress plus accessories for Saturday, when we're all going out for my sister-in-law's 30th birthday. Stand-up comedy, buffet and disco. Should be a good night. Will hopefully get time to put some photos up of the little outfit I got.

Footsie

Well who would have believed it...
Friday afternoon I dash to WHSmith to buy "Shares Magazine" and "Money Week", then when both children are in bed in actually read the two magazines from cover to cover.
I have my own little login at London Stock Exchange and a little Portfolio and Watchlist and get Email alerts about the shares as they rise or fall below a certain point.

Oh my god, what have my life become??!! :)

What's new?

Just carrying on as normal, playing with our children, going to the gym, playing with our children some more, tidying the house, sleeping, jumping on my trampoline, body pump, drinking smoothies and juices and cooking lovely steamed meals.
Not much to report really.

Oh apart from a holiday on the 17 March - Cayman Islands and Washington here we come!

Kick those baby pounds

I am carrying on with my healthkick in 2009. Last week I got myself a mini-trampoline and am now bouncing around for 20 minutes every day. Very good and I can really feel I've had a workout the day after.

My day so far...

I decided to take the girls to the park as it was a cold, crisp morning. I got us all dressed in winter gear and off we waddled to the car. I drove to the park and just as we got out of the car, it began to rain.

Oh well, on with the raincover and on with our hats. We still managed to have a pleasant time in the playground but the rain got worse and worse and in the end I had to bribe Ellen with ice-cream (shouldn't it have been hot chocolate instead?) to get her home. On the way to the car she wanted to feed the ducks in the river, but as we had no bread I told her we'd feed them grass and sticks instead. She seemed happy with that and picked up millions of sticks on the way. Poor ducks paddling round in the rain, got their hopes up when they saw these two nutters on the bridge above throwing them some food, only to realize it was a few rotten sticks. Gee thanks....

Back home now, still a bit damp from our escapades, but fresh air does you good.
As we say in Sweden: There is no bad weather, only bad clothes... (in Swedish it rhymes as well...) So there!

Lyrics that hit hard

I went to the gym on Wednesday evening, and as always I have my ipod with my gym music with me. I'd bought a few more songs from iTunes and stepped up on the treadmill ready to start my workout. Without going into details about anything, let's just say a good friend of mine is going through a bad time at the moment and I've been trying to support her as best I can, the first song that hit my headphones almost had me sobbing as the lyrics became clear to me.

Kanye, what are you doing to me??? "Love Lockdown video here

I’m not loving you
'Way I wanted to
What I had to do
Had to run from you
I’m in love with you
But the vibe is wrong
And that haunted me, all the way home

So you never know
Never, never know
Never know enough
Til it’s over, love
Til we lose control
System overload
Screamin' no no no no no

I’m not lovin you
'Way I wanted to
See I wanna move
But can’t escape from you
So I keep it low
Keep a secret cold
So everybody else don’t have to know

So keep your love locked down
Your love locked down
Keepin’ your love locked down
Your love locked down
Now keep your love locked down
Your love locked down
You keep your love locked down
You lose

I’m not lovin’ you
The way I wanted to
I can’t keep my cool
So I keep it true
I got something to lose
So I gotta move
I can’t keep myself
And still keep you too

So I keep in mind
When I’m on my own
Somewhere far from home
In the danger zone
How many times did it take
Before it finally got through
You lose you lose

If only it was that easy

Yesterday I went to a playcentre with my two little pumkins Ellen and Jessie.
Ellen was playing with a little boy who was 2 years older than her. When his mum popped to the ladies he came up to me and asked:

- Is she your little girl
- Yes, I said, she's my daughter Ellen and she's 2 years old
- Did the doctors cut your tummy to get her out?
-....ehm.....no.....no, they didn't (???!!!)
- ...I think they did... (looking at me as if I was lying to him)
- Eeeehem....eh, no they didn't actually...
(The boy now looking very confused) - So what are you saying... that she just shot out on her own?!
Me: - ....Something like that yes...

Shot out...well, I wish!
