Been busy

I guess having 0% time to yourself stops the old blogger.

Its been so busy lately I don't even know my name anymore.



Anyway, I am back now. I've just finished my lovely dinner, a home-cooked Pasta Bake thing which was amazing, can't believe I made it myself. The rest of the gang is sound asleep so I guess the dinner will have to wait for them.



Exciting stuff in Somerfield today. Security guards carried a trailer-trash woman out to the office between them, and she was shouting and screaming, shoplifter no doubt, unless she was trying to sell heroine by the dairy counter. Ooooh, the draaaama.

Other exciting stuff...went to Chiropractor, again, for my stiff and painful neck. The last few times she's asked:

- Is it ok if I do a bit of acupuncture/dry needling on you?
And I've just replied ...yeeees, in a very small voice not wanting/daring to say no.

Every time she's done it, its got more and more painful so TODAY I was going to say:

- Actually, would you mind NOT doing it. I really don't like it.

So I lay down on the bed, facing down and tried to breathe through the paper sheeting (not very successfully). I waited for her to ask the question. But no....all I hear is some rustling...?

Hang on, that sounds like....needles being taken out of their wrappers....noo..???......and before I get a chance to say: no needles right? BAAAAAAAAAAAM, in goes number 1 in my left shoulder, BAAAAAAAAAAAAM goes number 2 in my right. FUCK!!! And then she twists them and ooooooouuuuuchhhhh.

As if that wasn't bad enough I then feel my throat getting ticklier and ticklier and with 10 needles cramping in my back I start to cough. Nooo, I just wanted to cry. My poor muscles were in so much pain.

NEXT TIME I will say NO NEEDLES as soon as I step through that door, before I even say hello...

Facial Peel or Face Wash?

Dermalogica Kit for Acne Prone skin - not recommended.

Used the Face Wash last Sunday and my face swelled up and became red. Its now the Sunday after and I've just started peeling. Lovely...
It was more like a Facial Peel to be honest with all that Salisylic Acid in it.

Its gone straight in the bin.

Lovely little snack

I have just discovered Mikado Chocolate sticks. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Yummy. Something like 11 calories per stick and they are so moorish its unbelievable. Feels like I am snacking on large matches or something!!!

Bring on the lazy days of Summer

This little (?) beauty is now residing in our garden by the pond. We built it yesterday and oooooooh its so lovely. I can see myself relaxing and reading the Sunday papers in it... year 2065 maybe!

Shame its raining today otherwise I'd be out there!

Burek

My first attempt at making Burek.
Its in the oven at the moment, ready in 15 minutes.

New Buggy

How exciting can it be to buy a new baby buggy?
Apparently very! I am so pleased with it, our new Maclaren xlr buggy.

Its loooovely and little Jessie will be able to lie flat in it, which is perfect. Got a huge sunshade so additional sunshades/parasols etc will not be needed. The steering handles are extendable so even tall old me can walk straight!!!
Perfect for the holidays coming up!
Can't wait!

All wrapped up

I went to have a Universal Contour Wrap last Saturday. I didn't quite know what to expect, but it was part of my detox to try one. I was wrapped from head
to toe in bandages soaked in mud of some sort, that smelled really nice. Then the lady popped me in some kind of spaceman suit to keep me warm and I got to lie on a bed for AN HOUR reading magazines and listening to relaxing music. I don't know what I enjoyed the most, the wrap or the peace and quiet.

Afterwards my skin felt incredibly soft and still does 4 days after! She measured me before and after and all in all 6 inches had disappeared to god knows where.

I thought it was great going from a Busy Mummy to an actual Mummy!!!
