More sleep!

She seems to have got it afterall. The sleep. A few nights later and she is sleeping like a "baby" again! Hurrah for her. And for me!

Now I've got a grinning little girl sitting in her playhoop on the floor. She is soo lovely when she's had enough sleep. Smiling and playing and no grotting at all.

Going to Coffee Lounge with Lisa and Kate today for some lunch. It gets kind of crowded with 3 prams round the table, haha. Will try to feed Ellen there, but I suspect it won't go very well, as she is very easily distracted.

Have started to pack, or at least dug out some things I am bringing to Sweden. The dogsitter is coming tomorrow nigh and we are leaving Friday morning at 0640 from here. The flight is about 9 I think. Will be interesting to see how Ellen finds the flight. I really hope everything goes well.

Gotta get dressed now.

What's so bloody funny at 6am

I think we're just going to have to realize our little girl doesn't like to sleep past 7. Not even 6 sometimes. Christ. She does sleep a lot better, without her dummy now and falls asleep perfectly at night. She doesn't eat during the night anymore. So that's all good.
Not so good is that she seems to wake at 5.30-6.00 in the morning and she's wide awake and does NOT stop crying until we get up. No chance to get her back to sleep and if we try to leave her in her cot, she just howls. Great. But as soon as she's up, she is the most happy baby going. Grinning like a nutter and everything is sooo hilarious. Me and Steve aren't as amused! ;)

But 10 minutes after I've got up, and got my morning-dose of her smile, I feel alright and she's all worth it again. Its just that 5.30-6.00 o'clock feeling when you KNOW she is awake and we've got no chance of sleeping more.

Phhhhhewwwww....yaaaawwwn.....siiiiiighhhh

This week I need to get myself a bigger suitcase, and get packing. Going home to Sweden for 11 days, hurrah. First my sisters and then up north to see the family. All of them! Cousins, grandma, uncles and aunties. Can't wait.

Got the builder in again today. He's going to put up another cupboard on the kitchen wall. So more space for me to fill with junk. Then tomorrow he's building us a bathroom door for our en-suite. That will be nice.

Right, time to watch "Babies loves babies" with Ellen. Its all basically babies doing baby-things on a DVD and she loves it. I just think all the babies are either ugly or annoying, or both. I shouldn't be allowed to be a mum. Baaad mum. But here we go, "Babies loves babies" it is.

Over and out, Rocketsnout

Baby Whisperer

Ellen went through the night last night...well apart from 5 minutes around 4am.
I am so unbelievably proud and happy, both of myself and of her.
7 pa kvallen till 7 pa morgonen !!! Tjiiiihoooooooooo!!!!

Just thought I'd do a little posting about my absolute hero - Tracy Hogg - aka The Baby Whisperer. Her book is so wonderful and has taught me so much.

So, finally a moment

The house is tidy, Elle is asleep and I have a lovely cup of coffee in my hand.
Feeling a bit tired as Ellen decided to scream her head off at 5am this morning. She cried for an hour, and I think there are some little teeth coming through. Or so I am hoping...

Dirty Dancing was...good. Nah, it was a great laugh, but it wasn't the best musical ever. It was just like the film really, cheesy, americaan and good music. Went for a few drinks before in this lovely bar, where you didn't know what was glass walls or mirrors, so the place felt massive. I was sitting on my barstool with a big grin on my face, due to the fact I was out, with friends, in London, with a glass of wine in one hand and some chips in the other. Ohhh, yes.
Got back at midnight and promised myself, I MUST go up to London more often. It really is just around the corner. 30 min on the train is nothing and the city truly never sleeps. It was so wonderful wandering through Covent Garden at night, with the old stone buildnings looking over you.

Seeing Lisa & Katie (with their girls) tomorrow for lunch, as it feels like I haven't seen them for ages. Then Louise over for a coffee about 3pm. She's about 7 months pregnant now and I cannot wait to see the little baby girl/boy. Its so much more exciting now when someone is pregnant, when you know what its all about. And you can watch from a distance, without hanging over the toilet puking your guts out.

Gotta keep tidying the house now...There's dust everywhere.

Over and out.

Nobody puts Baby in the corner

Ooooooh, can't believe it! I've been invited to the Theatre tonight. Sarah had a spare ticket for Dirty Dancing, showing at the Aldwych in London. Wow! Yes, please, I will be there with bells on, or maybe a lovely pink leotard?!

Christ, how many times did we watch that film? And how many times did we listen to the Soundtrack on our vinylrecords? I so fancied Patric Swayzey-Swaysey-whatever...

These arms of mine...
I'm a love man
I had the time of my life
Oooooh can't waaaait!

Going up on the train about 6 I think and I will update you all tomorrow on how many times I cried.

Gotta go now, wake little Elle, put on her Winter Overalls and head down to Wickford to get some food, as Tesco Delivery has cancelled their home delivery due to the dangerous road conditions...ITS 2 CENTIMETRES FOLKS...INVEST IN SOME WINTER TYRES AND GET A GRIP!!! *haha, excuse the pun*

Walking at Marsh Farm

Loaded everyone into the car...
